Many rave about the expansive breakfast buffet—the best some had in Thailand—highlighting the made-to-order eggs Benedict bar. Spacious river-view rooms, a lush pool, and complimentary boat and tuk-tuk rides to Iconsiam impress, and perks like late 10 p.m. checkout or F&B credits add value. Minor complaints cover very firm beds, dated décor, leaking showers, limited bedside outlets, and a concierge some found less connected. Even with these issues, most travelers view the property as a top luxury choice.

There are luxury hotels… and then there’s The Peninsula Bangkok. The moment we arrived by the river boat, it already felt special. The views of the Chao Phraya from the room were unreal — especially at sunset. Rooms are elegant without being over-the-top, extremely comfortable, and very thoughtfully designed. What truly stands out though is the service. Every single staff member makes you feel genuinely welcome, not just “served.” Breakfast by the river is a highlight, and the peaceful atmosphere makes you forget you’re in the middle of Bangkok. It’s refined, calm, and effortlessly luxurious.

I have stayed at this property a few times in the past; this visit exceeded my expectations! Staff was extremely welcoming. Service was much more personalized and warm than previous visits.

Beautiful hotel including an amazing breakfast, pool, and spa

The Peninsula Bangkok was a great experience for me and my two grown children. We spent two nights there and were very impressed. The service was impeccable. The concierge was very helpful with currency exchange, meals, boat rides and activities. The restaurants in the hotel were great and the pool was relaxing with wonderful attendants and service. Everything was clean and nice.

A slightly older property but great location next to the river and great service. Had the best breakfast buffet of our entire time in Thailand. Great as a stopover point before going elsewhere in Thailand and exactly what we wanted.

The hotel was very nice and clean and staff was always ready to help in anyway. They gave us an amazing upgraded room and the breakfast buffet was amazing!
