Beth with Fora once again delivered an exceptional recommendation with my stay at the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi. From the very beginning, her guidance was thoughtful and seamless, helping me secure the room style I wanted, Club Lounge access, a lovely welcome amenity, and an overall flawless booking experience.
The Sofitel’s concierge team and my major domo went above and beyond, personalizing my daily itinerary with the hotel’s car and driver, who navigated Hanoi’s bustling streets gently and safely. The guides they arranged were incredibly knowledgeable and kind, especially my guide, Sushi, who brought Hanoi to life in ways I could never have experienced on my own. She took me to the various temples I wanted to visit, arranged the perfect spot on Train Street through a local connection, and then introduced me to what she promised was the best pho in Hanoi, served in a little elderly woman’s home, up a narrow staircase, at tiny tables near the floor. The homemade beef pho, with its deeply simmered bone broth, tender beef, fresh herbs, rice noodles, and bright lime, was unforgettable. Even more meaningful was hearing the woman’s story and experiencing such warmth in such an intimate setting. It was one of those rare travel moments I will never forget.
Sushi was part guide, part shopping assistant, and part expert negotiator, helping me find lacquerware, silk, and other treasures at the wonderful Tan My Design, where the owner and her daughter made me feel beautifully welcomed.
The hotel’s airport services were equally outstanding. The roundtrip transfers and fast-track assistance were worth every penny. Tang, who assisted me on multiple arrivals and departures as I traveled between Hanoi and Cambodia, was always reliable, smiling, and seemingly knew everyone at the airport. He escorted me through check-in, expedited security, and all the way to the lounge, pointing out my departure gate along the way. It was truly a first-class experience.
The Sofitel’s management and staff operate at an extraordinary level of service, with excellent communication and thoughtful attention to every detail of my daily agenda. Beth and Fora made the entire experience seamless, elegant, and deeply memorable. This stay has absolutely convinced me to return to Hanoi, and I will certainly be reaching out to Beth again for my upcoming Amsterdam/Delft trip.
