Overall a beautiful hotel. Incredible integration with the hills and the original property / original restaurants on campus. The amenities are very nice, the rooms are extremely cool, we had a Pagoda view which was beautiful. Staff was fantastic as well, no complaints!

Our stay at Park Hyatt Kyoto was simply unforgettable — a perfect blend of serenity, elegance, and heartfelt hospitality. We came for a father-and-son birthday trip, and from the moment we arrived, the entire team made us feel like honored guests in a private Kyoto residence. The view from our room overlooking the pagoda was breathtaking, especially at sunset, when the city turned to gold. Breakfast was artfully prepared with seasonal Kyoto ingredients, and every meal felt like a quiet celebration of life. It wasn’t just a hotel stay; it was a moment of connection — between us, and with Kyoto itself.

I was unsure of whether or not we should stay here but my travel advisor "promised" it would be worth it. He was wrong. It was way more than worth it. The hotel is five stars from top to bottom. The rooms, the grounds, the staff, and the amenities. My travel advisor also arranged for us to get free breakfast that was amazing. The highlight of our trip was staying at this hotel, If anyone stays at this hotel, I believe it would be impossible to not have an unbelievable and memorable experience. Grateful for my advisor "making us" book there.

Elegant rooms with stunning pagoda views, exceptional service, and a tranquil ambiance—but gym amenities were underwhelming and AC was inconsistent.

I knew that after watching Lost in Translation, years ago, if I ever made it to Tokyo, I was staying at the Park Hyatt. It didn't disappoint. Our room was amazing and the gym with huge indoor pool and view - best hotel gym we have ever used, hands down.
