Many travelers say the location by Umeda subway and JR Osaka makes sightseeing easy. Rooms, especially the two-bedroom residences, are spacious, clean, and comfortable; one guest also praised the onsen. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, yet some report ignored housekeeping requests, a 6:30 a.m. room-service callback, and one late room readiness that was fixed quickly with compensation. Breakfast is decent but fills up after 8 a.m. The consensus is a polished, high-end business hotel rather than a full five-star luxury stay.

Really 4.5 stars - Very happy with location and amenities. Room was beautiful not overly large but ample and service was outstanding. Very much enjoyed the experience highly recommend.

Our stay at the InterContinental Osaka hotel was very nice and comfortable and in a great location. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The rooms were large and had everything we needed. We also made use of the onsen and loved it. We would definitely consider staying there again.

It is a big hotel, very well located in the Umeda area, neart the train station. The hotel overral is really good, with good service. It feels a work hotel but the details in the room are nice.

When we arrived at InterContinental Osaka around 5 PM, our room was still not ready, which was disappointing since it was well past the standard check-in time. We immediately reached out to Aniela, as it was unacceptable for us to wait another hour. She promptly contacted the hotel and, within 15 minutes, arranged for us to check in. The hotel also offered a complimentary service as an apology, which we appreciated. Aside from that initial hiccup, InterContinental Osaka turned out to be perfect for our family. The two-bedroom residences are ideal — clean, spacious, and comfortable. The food was excellent, and the location couldn’t be better. Overall, we had a wonderful stay.

The InterContinental Osaka is solid but not truly five-star. Service fell short—housekeeping requests were ignored, and I was told room service would "call me back" when I phoned at 6:30 AM. The location near the Umeda subway and JR Osaka station is excellent. Breakfast is decent but gets crowded—go before 8 AM. Nice touches like quality tea and fast internet, but small details like generic robes, keys, and stationery make it feel more like a high-end business hotel than a luxury one.

Top notch hotel. Probably the nicest intercontinental I’ve ever stayed at.
