Rachel booked our 2 night stay at Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo in August. My 9 year old and I were on our 2nd trip to Japan. Having seen many of the sights on a previous trip, we were looking for a relaxing, quieter stay to end our trip, outside the center of Tokyo. The concierge team welcomed us with a tray of teas, snacks and a stuffy for my son, and they were extremely attentive throughout our stay. We loved our room overlooking the gardens. Every evening my son wanted to run through the “Sea of Clouds”. We enjoyed our dinner at the Teppanyaki counter, where I was finally able to get the waygu steak I’d been holding out for all trip - my son said it was the best steak of his life, lol.
I highly recommend Hotel Chinzanso for a relaxing, family stay that incorporates some very traditional Japanese culture. While there we came across many local families who were also taking advantage of the kid-friendly food options, pool, large rooms, and a beautiful property to explore. Access to the heart of Tokyo was very easy
