The shoe-free, whisper-quiet atmosphere and financial-district setting feel calming and well connected to trains, yet several guests miss nearby nightlife, extra amenities like a gym or bar, and find the rules a bit restrictive.

Hoshinoya Tokyo hotel is a very unique hotel in a sense it combines eastern and western cultures. The rooms were spacious. Each floor has an open kitchen area where people can get coffee, tea and snacks.

Hoshinoya Tokyo is a beautiful property and we loved our stay. The rooms are a good size given it is in Tokyo, the spaces are well appointed, the lounges on each floor were a great amenity, the staff were amazing, and the Onsen is a tranquil retreat in the heart of the city.

Service and environment were excellent! Great location for both leisure and business travelers.

The Hoshinoya is a beautiful hotel. Based on a traditional Ryokan. It is very authentic and the minute you enter their goal is to bring you a level of peace, quiet and reflection. The entire hotel is based on this. Very private, quiet and the spaces are created to foster peace and self-reflection. You leave your shoes when you enter. They provide you with traditional to wear when navigating the hotel. The onsen on the 17th floor is AMAZING. Private, peaceful and an incredible design. The massage services were really remarkable - very traditional and relaxing. As an english speaker it was hard to get through their phone system and was hard to contact them via email, however the service when we arrived was very attentive. Some things were lost in translation, however, which is part of the charm. Very traditional Japanese.

Amazing service, design, attention to detail, and cleanliness. A beautiful, quiet place to stay that delivers an authentic Japanese experience while staying modern. Please note, the location is in more of a financial district which is all business. So be prepared to take transportation to visit restaurants or attractions. This hotel also has a location in Yamashiro. Highly recommend.
