The general consensus is that rooms are clean, comfortable, and come with expansive city or Namsan Tower views, though one guest found them small. Many travelers say staff are friendly and proactive, arranging transport, bookings, and upgrades, but one person noted porters failed to help with luggage. The breakfast buffet earns steady praise for its wide Asian-Western spread and quick seating, and guests also enjoy the spa, fitness studio, live-music bars, and well-liked room service. The outdoor pool is popular yet often pre-booked by local club members, so loungers must be reserved early; despite the hillside setting that requires a short taxi ride downtown, most consider the stay good value and plan to return.

I was deeply moved by the room upgrade and the complimentary wine! It was my first time staying at the Grand Hyatt, and I was highly satisfied with the swimming pool, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. In particular, the late checkout until 4 PM allowed us to have a wonderful time hanging out at the pool with friends by adding a guest the next day. However, there were a few disappointing moments. I was initially told that early check-in was available, but it ended up being unavailable. This forced me to change the schedule with my reply-proposal flower vendor. Furthermore, the hotel made a mistake while handling the keys with the flower vendor during return, which suddenly locked us out of our room. We had to go back down to the front desk to get new keys. While these logistical hiccups were a bit frustrating, my overall satisfaction with the stay remained high. I feel these issues were due to the hotel's handling, not an issue with the travel agency.

The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my visit. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Grand Hyatt Seoul has always been one of my favourite hotels. Despite its age, it has been well maintained. Being located in the Young san area, not only do I have good views of the mountains or the city, I also get to take a walk at Namsan. Spoilt for choice during breakfast. It has its own bakery which makes very good German Kraftkorn bread. Gym and spa were of world class standards.

This hotel is awesome! No complaints! Super nice, great views, and service is excellent.

The Grand Hyatt Seoul was a stunning property set in the foothills of Seoul Korea. The view from our bedroom was extraordinary. The hotel featured all the amenities that a 5 star hotel offers including, a full service spa, signature restaurants, state of the art gym, fine dining, curated scents and even had access to a skating rink. We were especially impressed by the breakfast buffet which offered a wide variety of Western and Korean options. We would recommend this property and would stay at it again.
