We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Tokyo and couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable and thoughtfully designed hotel. The property is beautiful—modern, aesthetic, and brand new—so everything felt pristine and very clean. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and our room had a stunning view of Mount Fuji, which made mornings and sunsets feel extra special. We traveled with two young kids, and we all slept so well! The neighborhood itself is fairly quiet with not much immediately around, but we discovered a fantastic park just a few steps away, where our daughter had an absolute blast. The hotel helped call taxis for us, which always arrived quickly. We visited during the holiday season, and while the restaurant staff did seem a bit overwhelmed at times and breakfast options were somewhat limited, we still had great dining experiences throughout the hotel: Vue Mer, Klin & Tonic, Migiwa, and Driftwood were all delicious and well worth visiting. What really made our stay memorable were the thoughtful little touches. Our kids were so happy to get stuffed black dogs, and ringing in the New Year with a bottle of sake and beautiful sake cups waiting in our room was such a fun surprise. We also really appreciated the breastfeeding room with a diaper-changing station in the lobby—it was incredibly convenient to pop into during meals without having to go all the way back to our room. Overall, the Fairmont Tokyo was a relaxing and comfortable home base after long days exploring the city and navigating Tokyo’s crazy crowds. We left feeling well-rested and very well taken care of, and would absolutely stay here again.
