The hotel had fantastic service & it was a perfect location (close to the city center with a convenient shuttle) as well as great dining options, with western & Indonesian options available as well as a very healthy, extensive breakfast. We also used the spa, which was amazing, and the free yoga class was also very enjoyable.
I only give it 4 stars because we stayed during a rainy, humid few days that impacted our stay, as we ended up seeing more bugs in our room than expected & had an ant problem due to a pot of ginger lemon tea in our room. The hotel staff immediately came to clean up the ants, but the ants returned the next day and found a box of closed gummies in our luggage - the hotel could have better addressed the issue with some additional pest control measures as ants can be persistent insects that will return unless you use specific cleaning agents to target them. Also, due to the humidity, the bedsheets were damper & muggier than we'd have liked. Ultimately, the room & resort has a integrated "indoor/outdoor" feel, which is part of the charm of this specific hotel, but this led to some discomfort during our stay. If we didn't have the ant problem & the weather was not as humid, I would give it 5 stars.
