Many travelers say the coast views, rose- and lemon-lined gardens, and infinity pool are unforgettable. Rooms come with terraces, and the spa’s couples massages draw steady praise. Service is called impeccable; staff provide pregnancy pillows, gluten-free pastries, and other thoughtful touches. Most diners enjoy the restaurants, though one person noted bland, overpriced food. The quiet perch away from Amalfi crowds leaves guests eager to return to what they consider a first-class escape.

The hotel was impeccable. The property itself is stunning; the gardens, the decor, the rooms all shine with thorough attention to detail and splendid design. From arrival to departure, the staff was warm and welcoming, attentive to our every need. The hotel's restaurants were excellent. In particular, we enjoyed a memorable meal at the Grill during our last evening there. The concierge was a pleasure to work with for planning dinner in Ravello and transport to Amalfi and Positano. We will certainly visit the hotel again.

Exceptional property with the most gracious hospitality professionals and unbelievably beautiful grounds. On two sides are views of the Mediterranean from a hilltop perch, and on the third side is another hill populated by lemon trees, grapevines, and picturesque homes. Our hosts at the hotel stopped at nothing to make sure we had everything we needed for a luxurious vacation. They dedicated time to meeting with us upon arrival and throughout the trip to tailor everything to our preferences, even surprising us with gifts after they learned what we like.

The Caruso is possibly the most romantic hotel I have ever stayed in! Perched high on the hills above Amalfi, the Caruso feels more like a private villa than a hotel. The rooms are huge and well appointed with amazing views over the Bay of Salerno, but the highlight is the extensive grounds. The terraced gardens, the infinity edged pool, the various bars and restaurants are all incredible. We had perhaps the best meal of our lives at their formal restaurant Il Palentone. We could have stayed exclusively on the grounds during our stay enjoying activities like pasta making classes, but the town of Ravello is small and charming and we enjoyed visiting the gardens and shopping for ceramics. I hope to visit again and stay for longer!

This was by far the most beautiful hotel that we have ever been to. The hotel was impeccable and the views were exceptional. The service was above and beyond. It was truly a dream and we can’t wait to return!
