The Capella Hanoi was a very special place in a perfect location, right across the street from the famous Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi and within walking distance of many of the best areas to explore in Hanoi.
The Capella staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful from start to finish. The service truly stood out, especially when they surprised us with a “Happy Birthday” balloon banner in the room for my husband during our honeymoon. We were also welcomed with drinks and treats upon arrival, and there were lovely daily events with drinks, snacks, and live music that made for a perfect stop between excursions.
The ground-floor lobby bar was beautiful, and the food at the daily brunch was fantastic. The spa and pool area were also stunning. While we chose to prioritize exploring the city over booking treatments, everything about the spa looked incredibly inviting.
Our room at Capella Hanoi was spacious and beautifully designed, with a large dining and sitting area, a separate bedroom, a full bathroom, and an additional powder room, always a huge plus on a romantic vacation.
The only aspect that could be improved was the hallway decor, which leaned heavily into the hotel’s dramatic movie-star theme with black and red velvets. The overall experience would feel even more elevated if the guest hallways reflected the lighter, more elegant aesthetic of the lobby spaces.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again.
