Cape Fahn is a truly beautiful hotel — the property is stunning, and our room was exceptional. It has all the makings of a five-star experience. However, the service didn’t quite meet those expectations. On two occasions, desserts were left in our room uncovered and became overrun with ants, so we weren’t able to enjoy them. Additionally, booking activities was difficult — we were given incorrect information and told taxis were on their way when they never arrived. With a few improvements in attention to detail and guest coordination, Cape Fahn could easily deliver the five-star experience its setting promises, but for the price we were left wondering if we should of booked the Ritz.
