Guests enjoy varied, high-quality dining; requests include stronger coffee, later breakfast cleanup, and more seats during the limited sundowner-cocktail window. Families like the kids’ club but want more indoor activities and lower head-counts for evening events, and some guests mention construction or wedding noise, yet still describe the resort as pricey but worth it.

Excellent service and food

The Apurva Kempinski Bali is stunning. The architecture is impressive and the views over the ocean are beautiful. Rooms are spacious and the whole property feels grand but still relaxing.

The hotel complex itself is very unusual and beautifully designed. From the moment you enter, you are transported to another world. Unfortunately, despite our status, we did not receive an upgrade to the next room category, but they sent us a bottle of sparkling wine to our room and also gave us a floating breakfast as a “solution.” It was definitely a very nice gesture from the hotel. As mentioned, the hotel is very beautiful and also very clean throughout. What didn't quite work out were the club services. Sundowner cocktails were available within a certain time frame. These could be enjoyed at a specific time at a specific bar. However, there were often no seats available here, as this was also where guests could go to eat. Sorry, but if I offer such a service, then I should also make sure that there is enough space for my club guests! You should also know that a hotel next door is being expanded. Construction noise is inevitable here. We had a room far away from the construction site, but you could still hear the noise in the room and at the pool area. What was really exhausting were the many wedding celebrations. Part of the area directly in front of the pool was used for this, and it was just too loud. It was difficult to relax here. The room was beautifully designed and more than spacious enough. The private pool was also large enough. But I would definitely recommend the hotel and go back there anytime.

The Apurva was a treat. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, the food fantastic. The room was beautiful and clean and beyond any expectations.
